Kia is expanding its SUV lineup with the exciting 2020 Telluride. This seven or eight-seater offers shoppers many standard features while maximizing comfort and prowess. The Telluride comes available in four trim levels, the LX, S, EX, and SX, so that families can purchase or lease just the right model to fit their budget. Compared to the well-known Sorento, the Telluride offers more spaciousness both in the passenger section and in the cargo. The bold body gives this SUV a confident stance so that it stands out among the growing sea of large vehicles on the road.
All four trims come equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine and an eight speed automatic transmission. While the LX and S trims offer AWD with lock and snow mode, the higher-end trims have FWD. The towing capacity across the board is 5,000 pounds, so that no matter which trim you pick, you can still take what you need with you. Additional standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, several driving modes, and automatic headlights. Many safety programs come standard as well, such as drowsy driver warning, lane keeping assist, and a blind-spot monitor. Several exterior upgrades include a single or dual sunroof, acoustic glass for the front doors, and LED lighting.
Inside the cabin, even the base trim offers plenty of comforts. An 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone integration with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB ports, and satellite radio are just a few. Both the second and third row split 60/40, for convenient storage and cleaning. The S trim has second-row bucket seats and heated front seats. The third trim level, the EX, offers much more including ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, an enlarged 10.3-inch touchscreen, and a second-row bench. Finally, the SX includes a 10 speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, interior ambient lighting, and an upgraded driver information display.
One of the significant aspects of this model are the many family-friendly features. For example, the EX and SX also feature a hands-free lift-gate, leather seats, Quiet mode to silence rear speakers, and a driver voice amplifier for the rear seats. So if your second or third rows get rowdy, it’s easier to keep them in check. An optional self leveling suspension option is also available for buyers who want to make towing safer. As one of the many SUVs to come from Kia, the Telluride is one to test drive at your local dealer.
